An Australian flight attendant, in his TikTok video, explained the seat to be chosen to reduce aerophobia & flight tension, what to avoid and the precautions to be taken during the flight.

An Australian flight attendant shared what you need to know if you have a fear of flying and the ideal seat to book to combat anxiety.
Virgin Australia employee Sarah Goodwin gave a few tips for nervous passengers, as well as the drink you should never drink before boarding a plane, in her TikTok video.

IDEAL SEAT
Explaining the ideal seat, Goodwin said, “When booking your seat, try to choose a seat as close to the front of the plane as possible, because that’s where turbulence is least.”
According to Goodwin, the effect of turbulence is less felt at the front of the aircraft as it is beyond the aircraft’s center of gravity.

Alternatively, turbulence is less noticeable near the wings of the aircraft, as the wings help stabilize the aircraft.

“TALK WITH HOSTESS”
Goodwin explained his second tip, “If you’re feeling nervous or anxious, talk to the flight attendants.”
“At the end of the day, we’re always dealing with people, so we’re good at talking to them about these kinds of things,” said the flight attendant.

“DO NOT DRINK Caffeinated BEVERAGE”
Goodwin told you what to avoid if you’re a nervous traveler. The flight attendant said it’s a good idea to limit your coffee consumption. “Try not to drink anything containing caffeine before your flight, as this can increase your anxiety, make you more irritable and irritable,” she explained.

“”Stay Away From SALT AND PROCESSED FOODS””
Goodwin said that among the foods to avoid before the flight are salty and processed foods, as they are not easy to digest at different altitudes. The flight attendant also recommended avoiding alcohol, sodas, beans and dried fruit.
According to Goodwin, the reason they work is because the dryness of the cabinet can reduce your taste buds’ ability to taste by up to 30 percent. That’s why airplane food is often bland, overly sweet, or overly salty.

“FOCUS ON A JOB”
Goodwin finally said that focusing on one thing relieves tension and said, “Try and do whatever keeps your mind busy, whether it’s reading a book, listening to music, or even doing word search.”
